Finished Music Video Screening/Feedback

The editing was praised as a strength of the video and the effects used were also noted as interesting. The use of silhouette shots were also a strength of the video. However the first half of he video was noted to be more interesting than the second half and more effects could have been added. Due to time constraints, and lack of experience we couldn't add more effects to the video but in the future we could add this as we know how to use the software properly. Overall the video was well received by our peers and their feedback was useful.

Planning Technologies for Evaluation

Question 1 'In what ways did your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?' :
For the first question I could use Prezi, as it allows me to insert clips and images from my music video as well as creatively design a layout that presents my ideas and analysis in a visually interesting way.

Question 2 'How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?' :
for this question I plan to use Carbonmade.com which is a portfolio website that can add captions to images which will help for analysis into my print products when comparing them to my music video. The site is very user friendly which allows me to use it with ease.

Question 3 'What have you learned from audience feedback?' :
This question requires audience feedback, so I have decided to use Emaze as I can use it easily and I can use audience comments and feedback and annotate it.

Question 4 'How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stage?' :
For this question I plan to use Slideshare which lets me upload powerpoints in order to present my evaluation in a more professional way. This allows me to write a substantial amount about the technologies I used.

Complete Digipak Feedback

The feedback I received from my peers was done using a group chat on Whatsapp, This was very useful as they were part of our group's target audience. I received overall positive feedback on the colours used on my CD package and the effects used on the products were the biggest strengths.

Photoshop CD Cover Progress

I have started the back and spine of my CD Digipak work, currently it is difficult to add various effects, however as I work longer I get used to the programme and use it more effectively.

CD Cover Photoshoot: Central London

After the successful shoot at the studio, we've decided to head out to London where we could gather more photos with a scenery for the background. The old church at Dunstan's Hill was a great place as of the mix of greenery and cracked walls, whilst the skyscrapers around the River Thames were ideal for the double exposure effect that we took inspiration from. Foggy weather also helped add in a gloomy effect, which made it a good day for the shoot.

These are the mock ups for the magazine advert that we made using Photoshop also, they are included in our Pitch and all have a similar styles which reflect our music video. We used G - Eazy as there werent many usable images of Logic available.

Team Meeting: Research Album Covers

we analysed a few album covers in order to get some inspiration for our own. We found some really creative ones that suit our song/genre and that are simple to make in photoshop. we used Behance.net which provides a wide range of artists as well as looking at our artist's (Logic) album covers. We have decided on our three case studies: Logic - Undeniable, G Eazy - The Endless Summer and These Things Happen.

These are some album covers we looked at in Behance:

Team Meeting: CD Cover Pitch

In today's lesson we started designing our pitch using Google slides, this is so we can all work on it together as the document is shared between us. we started by choosing our own individual cd covers to take inspiration from. we have made some mock ups for the pitch:
