Planning Technologies for Evaluation

Question 1 'In what ways did your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?' :
For the first question I could use Prezi, as it allows me to insert clips and images from my music video as well as creatively design a layout that presents my ideas and analysis in a visually interesting way.

Question 2 'How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?' :
for this question I plan to use Carbonmade.com which is a portfolio website that can add captions to images which will help for analysis into my print products when comparing them to my music video. The site is very user friendly which allows me to use it with ease.

Question 3 'What have you learned from audience feedback?' :
This question requires audience feedback, so I have decided to use Emaze as I can use it easily and I can use audience comments and feedback and annotate it.

Question 4 'How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stage?' :
For this question I plan to use Slideshare which lets me upload powerpoints in order to present my evaluation in a more professional way. This allows me to write a substantial amount about the technologies I used.

These are the mock ups for the magazine advert that we made using Photoshop also, they are included in our Pitch and all have a similar styles which reflect our music video. We used G - Eazy as there werent many usable images of Logic available.

Team Meeting: Research Album Covers

we analysed a few album covers in order to get some inspiration for our own. We found some really creative ones that suit our song/genre and that are simple to make in photoshop. we used Behance.net which provides a wide range of artists as well as looking at our artist's (Logic) album covers. We have decided on our three case studies: Logic - Undeniable, G Eazy - The Endless Summer and These Things Happen.

These are some album covers we looked at in Behance:

Team Meeting: CD Cover Pitch

In today's lesson we started designing our pitch using Google slides, this is so we can all work on it together as the document is shared between us. we started by choosing our own individual cd covers to take inspiration from. we have made some mock ups for the pitch:

Team Meeting: Leake street

We discussed where to meet in order to film and to remind each other to bring the equipment. This allowed us more time for filming as we didnt use up time waiting or not being able to film because a member forgot something.

Sky Garden Tickets

Spencer booked the tickets in advance so we could film there on the 19th of October.

Costumes and Props

We won't be using elaborate costumes, our main performer will be wearing casual clothes mainly as they match the genre of the song. we wont be using many props either.

These are the clothes that our performer will be wearing when filming, with slight variations on each day of shooting.

A packet of flour is the only prop we will be using for some scenes, it is meant to be cocaine as it relates to our story in the video.

Permission for Music Video

I wrote an email to the artist's (Logic) record label asking for permission to use their song for our work, this is too avoid any legal issues that using their music may create

Team Meeting: Class

Today one of our team members was not in class so we could not discuss a lot of the pre production plan. However, we do know that Spencer is the main performer as he knows the song fluently. We discussed locations of one of the scenes we are planning, where it takes place in a therapist office, we thought it would be in college as their are offices that we could use. We will start to discuss risks with locations and storyboarding the video once he is in class.

Updated Storyboards

Storyboarding

First we annotated the lyrics of the song to come up with shooting ideas that we could plan on our storyboards and we planned it line by line at various points, the annotation was done by Spencer.
The storyboards themselves were drawn by Irnandas while we shared our ideas
